Our activities
Winegrowing
Our vineyard, nestled between Rolle and Morges on the shores of Lake Geneva, spans 7.5 hectares of vineyards with a southern exposure and optimal sunlight.
Since 2023, our production has been entirely organic, reflecting our commitment to quality and the environment. Our Grand Crus are handpicked and vinified in our century-old cellar, then bottled on-site with the utmost care.
Every step of our process is guided by passion and respect for tradition, resulting in wines of exceptional purity and elegance, true reflections of our terroir.
Arboriculture
The 8-hectare orchard of the Domain consists of apple trees with the varieties Golden, Gala, Jazz, and Kissabelle. We also have pear trees with the varieties Harrow Sweet and Williams.
Additionally, we have planted a high-stem tree orchard below the estate with over 10 fruit varieties, to increase biodiversity and promote beneficial insects that help us combat harmful pests.
All our apples are produced under the label IP SUISSE, Verger Vivant.
Wine nursery
As the fifth-generation representative, Florian Widmer took over the viticultural nursery business in 2017. He holds a federal diploma in viticulture from the Changins School of Higher Education.
Each year, we graft approximately 80,000 young vine plants. This exciting activity primarily takes place from December to May, allowing us to maintain continuous vineyard activity throughout the year.
Direct sales
Since 1982, the year of the first open days at Domaine de Verex, we have been selling the majority of our production directly at the estate. Each year, you can find us at various events, including our traditional spring and autumn open days, as well as local events.
Our tasting room can accommodate up to 30 people for wine tastings, fruit juices, honey, and spirits.
You can also find all our products in our sales area, open every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, except on public holidays, or on our website www.vins-verex.ch.
